Division by zero error
Permalink Browser Info Environment
I have designed a site using the simple blue theme, its the second one I have done using this theme. The gallery on the other site works fine, but on this one, I upload files, add gallery block and it makes no odds it seems how many columns I choose, I get a division by zero error pointing to line 4 of View.php. Is it because I have to re-size the images for some reason - never had to do that before. None of them are huge image files either. I am using 5.4.2.2.

What version of the Sortable Fancybox Gallery addon are you using?
version 1.1.4
If you "edit" the block (after adding it to the page and saving), is there anything in the "Display Columns" box?
No, they are always blank if I tyry to edit them after adding a gallery to the page
Can you please ZIP the entire "sortable_fancybox_gallery" directory (inside your "packages" directory) and post it here? I think it might be an old version or perhaps the code was modified, because that number should be saved each time. If you can post that then I can take a look and try to see what's wrong with it.
OK, very sorry for the delay in responding. I had to go away for a while with my job. Zip file is attached
Thanks for your help

Something I have now discovered, is that any image add-on I want to run that has to re-size images also goes wrong in the same way. Basically, sortable fancy box gallery, zoom image etc. It seems that after updating to 5.4.2.2 its all gone wrong at the point I have to ask C5 to re-size any image for any reason.
Is there anything I should look for on the server in php globals for example? I am no programmer, but I doubt this is related to your add-on
Not sure if this helps?

Hi Colin,
I'm sorry you're having this issue -- I know it's frustrating when things go wrong (through no fault of your own). I can't see anything in your copy of the addon that indicates it has been changed. And based on your most-recent comment about other image gallery addons having problems, I'm guessing something is screwy with the system somewhere.
Unfortunately I have no idea what the problem may be. You should try posting this to the general forums and see if anyone has encountered it before.
Best of luck,
Jordan

Sorted it now. I decided to back up the whole thing, then upgrade to 5.5.2.1 which seems to fixed the issue. Of course quite a few of my add-ons no longer work, but I will gradually update them all.
Just seems a shame to have to do that to fix the issue, but there you go.
