Newsletter Feature
Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi James,
I used your beautiful Framework them for my company website, Mitek-Automation.com. I volunteered to make a website for my local writers group and your Genesis theme seems to fit nicely. I am curious about the Newsletter feature shown in the demo. Can you briefly describe what I would have to do to publish a periodic newsletter?
Purchasing as we speak...
Best Regards
Rick

Hi James,
Nothing misleading as I had assumed as much. I was hoping you could briefly describe, on a very high level, how this might be done. Presumably your block stores the form info in a mailing list database. So then whats involved in the C5 processing, are we talking raw php programming or are there some higher level capabilities. There is also a MailChimp addon, perhaps that should considered instead? What do you think?
I installed last night and started poking around. It's beautiful, just like Framework, and I look forward to working with it.

Hi Rick,
You are right. It is pretty much a form block that writes submissions to the database.
You can write your own script but using an addon would be the easiest route.
Thanks and let me know if I can help you with anything else.

Thank you!
The newsletter form is just a form template that comes with the theme. The actual newsletter processing will need to be setup via concrete5. I hope this was not misleading.
Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.
Kind regards,
James
