I've been able to set slide height to 50% and then have some slides full per your instructions.
Can you set slide height by percentage? Are there other CSS class names to use to adjust the height?

if you need to apply a specific height to a slide, try this: while in edit mode, click on the slide, choose Design, go to the CSS tab and enter the following CSS rule in the Additional CSS box:
