Portfolio Page types, Attributes, Output, and an error

Hi, I found thread https://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/customizing_c5/access-com... but I was not able to reply to it, so I am starting a new, related thread.
In the previous thread is great information, and I have spent a bit of time 'reverse engineering' the Portfolio and Portfolio Project pages in the Elemental Theme. The issue I keep running into is thus: I am making a second 'portfolio' type page, called Training, and it's child pages are called 'Training Items". I created a set of attributes for the "training Items" page, and made a "set" associated with that collection. I create the "Output" defaults page, and when I try to create the New Page of "Training Item", I get I have even stripped the Output page to a simple page title attribute, but still get the error.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
