having problems notifying clients after I click approved

When I go to records. One of the columns says "approve", when I click on the little check so i can make it green, the following message appears: "A notification of approval will be sent to XXX@yahoo.com (my email). click OK to send." That xxx@yahoo.com is my yahoo email that I used to register with concrete5.org, but it is not in the form itself (the email requested from the client).
My question is: How do I change that address (xxx@yahoo.com), and I thought that this notification feature will be sending an email to the client's email(given in the form)not to me since I wanted to notify them that their form has been approved by me.
Anyways after I press OK to send, I dont receive anything in my email. Please help!!

The approval email is sent to the owner of that particular record. Right now, depending on your setup, that may or may not be helpful. Some people require a person to login before submitting the form...in that instance, when someone submits the form, they are recorded as the user that owns that record. If you are not requiring login, there is technically no owner, so approval notifications aren't super helpful.

If you want people to receive a notification, at this point, the best solution is to require them to login before they are able to submit the form, that way, the records will have the proper user assigned as the owner.

I know this is an older post but, I was wondering if you have changed anything on the newer versions to allow notifications to be sent to non-registered users? I am using the form to RSVP for a wedding party and wanted to be able to send people a notification so they know that we received their RSVP.
