Unable to Submit Form - Displays Processing never submits.

Not sure what happened, all of a sudden this site just stopped working. I tried updating from version 1.8 of Advanced Forms and C5.5.2.1 to the current versions of each and it had no effect.
When I submit changes to an entry or a new entry from the dashboard the submit button disappears and the Processing Icon appears however checking my chrome console I see the following error:
..../index.php/tools/packages/sixeightforms/process?ajax=1 403 (Forbidden)

I know its not a file permissions issue, I've tried adjusting the permissions on the process.php file and the javascript files included with advanced forms.
