submit button image

Hi
I am trying to replace the submit button with an image instead but cant seem to get it to work.
I found some code below in the ajax_tableless_layout.php which is the template i am using and added a class submtbtton plus removed the value. It does show on the form now correctly but the button does not do anything now when clicked on. Any advice please :-)
