Azure Blob Storage Documentation

Helpful Links:

Get Started:

  1. Download and install the plugin
  2. Find the Storage Locations under Dashboard > System & Settings > Files > File Storage Location > after installation
  3. Add a new Storage Location and select Azure Blob
  4. Fill in the following required fields:
    1. Name
    2. Container Name
    3. Storage Account Name
    4. Account Key
    5. Optional: Select Yes, make this the default storage location for new files. - This will make any new files that you upload go to Azure. Existing files will stay where they are unless you go to the File Manager and change your file’s Storage Location to Azure.
    6. Optional: CDN Endpoint hostname. - You can attach your Azure Blob Storage to an Azure CDN easily and utilize the power of the CDN to increase speed and control caching.  Please note that http:// or https:// will be removed from any URL you add to this field. We also recommend a delay from CDN setup to useage.  The CDN service may not immediately start serving files. Once it does, files are usually available very quickly after upload.
  5. Save

NOTE: Existing files will stay where they are unless you go to the File Manager and change your file’s Storage Location to Azure.

Azure Setup: Sorry due to the inevitable interface changes that Microsoft will make, we do not provide documentation on how to setup an Azure Blog account.  The helpful links above should be all that is needed.  We do provide some screen shots on how to get your credentials in the app when filling in your credentials.
