Re-using blocks on multiple sites.

If I wanted to use Block Designer to create a new block and then re-use it on other sites, would I have to also purchase the Package Designer?

What do you mean? You mean you have to buy Block Designer or Package Designer? Not sure I understand correctly :)

Do I need to buy both in order to reuse a custom block on multiple sites?

I purchased the Block Designer, made a custom block, then tried to use it on another site. When I tried to install the package, I received an error: 'Broken package'

Forgive me, I'm new to Concrete5.

You have to buy Block Designer for each site you use Block Designer. You don't need Package Designer for block types. Each add-on you buy and you want to use on multiple sites, have to be re-bought. 1 license counts for 1 site. Is that what you're asking? Or are you talking about block types individually instead of an add-on?
