Just a few notes at the moment, but this thread is to start collecting ideas and experiences of implementing other behaviours for blocks by AJAX.

The Quick Log View addon already has a toggling reload behaviour.

Some blocks by AJAX users have implemented hover and timer behaviours.

v2.0 of Blocks by AJAX now includes a Remote Control block and a Trigger block, making it really easy to trigger AJAX loads on all sorts of behaviours.
