about advanced forms

Permalink Browser Info Environment
After a advanced form has been submitted, we want the user to be able review the details of the submission they just made and be able to click a print button, allowing them to easily print the details of their form submission so they can save them for their records.

How can I do this? is data display addon help in this matter?

Yes, you would need Data Display to do that. You would however need to require the user to login before they can submit the form in order for it to work properly (so that the Data Display block can display the record based on the user that has submitted it...otherwise it wouldn't know what record to display). Here's the brief overview of how you would set it up:

1. Create a Data Display detail template to display the appropriate info from the form.

2. Add the Data Display Single Record block to a new page (the page that will be printed), specifying in the blocks settings to pull the record based on the user that submitted.

3. Set your Advanced Form to redirect to that page after the form is submitted.

That should do the trick.

Hello , I did the same way. But while creating the ' the Data Display Single Record block' at the new page it asked ' Method of specifying which item to display:' what should I enter here. Pls let me know asap. I have to give estimate to my client.

Here is the complete procedure:
I am doing this on 'http://demo.sixeightmedia.net' site. I added test form on home page. then submitted that form on new page called "http://demo.sixeightmedia.net/index.php/test-page/" . at this page I created 'Data Display Single Record block' but didn't get the submiited data printed here. I used 'detail_template2" for this.Let me know what is wrong here and what will be the value of 'Method of specifying which item to display:' at 'Display Single Record block'

Pls let me know asap

I made some adjustments to the Data Display single record block, so it is working properly now. See attached screenshot.

It is showing the current user record but not the one which he just submitted. What I do to get the same record which user has just submitted?

Can I do this by passing 'submittedBID' parameter at my submitted page url. and then for Display Single Data block I add 'Method of specifying which item to display' as 'Url Parameter and 'Parameter name' as 'submittedBID' and then 'Form field to match' as 'RecordID'

Can this thing will show the just submiited page details.

Wouldn't the current user be the one who just submitted it?
