Data Display & Podcast Feeds

I'd like to hear any input anyone might have on using Data Display in some capacity to form a podcast feed for iTunes. Here's what I've been toying with.
Andrew Embler wrote a great article on creating custom feeds here...

...and iTunes requires the length/duration of the audio file be entered, which could possibly be solved in an automated fashion by using the getID3 project found here...

The problem I'm running into is that the details I need to generate the feed are stored through the Advanced Forms add-on. I'm guessing the info could be pulled manually from the database by PHP, but how? It's a little beyond my skills as a web designer. :)
