Searching & Sorting by Record Owner

Other than a recent post outlining a few follow ups, I have two more functional needs outstanding that I need integrated into this add-on duo to get my site up and running.
The first is the need to sort according to record owner's name.
I used the record owner tag to add to the data display list and detail view, the name of the logged in record owner. Being able to correlate a record owner's name to a record is crucial to how I am using this series of add-ons, and I appreciate you adding this and hope it opens a wider door for others to utilize these add-ons.
The only missing piece to the puzzle now is that it will be important to be able to sort through the list of records by record owner's name, as that is the most common way someone will be sorting through the records. Is there any chance of integrating this function in somehow?
And the second item is an advanced form request, so I will put it there.

So as an addendum to my question/request, adding either sort or search up front would be needed, but both would be great. And if neither will make it on the dock anytime soon, if you could let me know, I would appreciate it as I would then need to customize that somehow, but would of course prefer not to have to mess with the add-ons for smoother updating.
