FBML getting chewed up?

I tried to add a fb:like to a Data Display detail template...
...and it got chewed up on it's way out to the page as <like href="..."></like>. (Note: I replaced the URL with "...".)
I thought I had used the FBML in a Data Display template before, but I guess I haven't.
