Linkedin URL

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi - could you tell me how I could simply put in a field called Linkedin and assign an URL link to this? I can't see any bespoke field for doing this apart from email and obviously that makes a mailto link.

Sorry if this is very simple but I can't seem to get it to work apart from using the WYSWG field type which seems a bit long winded. Basically I want the client to only have to put in the URL link to Linkedin into the field and for the href etc to be created by DD. Any ideas??

Check out the "Placeholder Attribute" section of this page:http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/data-display1/documenta... (towards the very bottom). It explains this in the context of display an image, but the concept is the same for links.

Hi Justin - could you give me and example of how this code would work please? Would I hard code the image link and how would I be able to put in a different URL for each linkedin icon.

Yeah, like this:

<field name="LinkedIn URL" placeholder="linkedin" />
<a href="{{linkedin}}">LinkedIn</a>
