Problems with filters for search make add-on hang

Hi,

I have a data display block that displays the info correctly and then I have the data display search box. There is also another search box above but don't care about that.
When I use the block settings to set up filters on "Area" for its three possible values: [Economy|history|geography] for the search, the block does not work. When I click save it hangs.
Did anyone experience something similar?
