I apologize if I have missed the answer in the forums. I have the data display just before the new release. I'm getting pressure to launch a site for my client asap. The issue is, when the form is initially filled out leaving a couple fields blank, when I go back to update missing info in "View Form Data", fields are not available to update. Your advice will be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, that was a bug with the old version of Data Display that there's really no way around (hence the new version). Because that version used the core Form blocks, there were lots of limitations that I could really do nothing about.

I can grant you a license to the new Data Display, but you would need to purchase Advanced Forms in order to use it.

So if I upgrade the Data Display and buy the advanced forms, will I need to redo the forms I've already made?

There are upgrade instructions here:
http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/data-display1/...

It's not 100% automated, but it's not all manual either.

I've just completed the online purchase of the Advanced forms. I'll need the Data Display update. Thanks.

It fixed the problem. Having said that, although I followed the installation instructions to the letter, the only thing not working is the Search. I've cleared cache numerous times and ended up at the System & Maintenance part of the admin. I noticed the 2 new additions 1) Advanced Forms - Index Records, 2) Advanced Forms - Clear Cache. So I ran all of the installed jobs and the 2 that are now running endlessly are 1) Advanced Forms - Index Records, 2) Index Search Engine. I've tried changing the RUNNING to ENABLED on both of them in the Jobs table, clear cache and still when I run either one of those jobs I get the same thing.

Please advise, my client is pushing to launch asap and he wants this working.

Just an update, the only "Advanced Forms - Index Records" is not working properly. It runs and runs etc.... I cleared deleted a couple pages that were test pages with forms on them, cleared cache and the "Index Search Engine" started to work again. So I'm left with the one issue which I believe is why the "Search" function isn't working.

Tried clearing the server cache in the root/files/cache folder and refreshing the pages on the Single Pages in the Pages and Themes area. Back to both Index Search Engine and Advanced Forms - Index Records not running properly. Also noticed the Data Display and Advanced Forms are now called Sixeightdatadisplay and and Sixeightforms and the "Tools" areas of the Data Display is not there anymore.

Try going to the Records page for the form, then click "Index Records." This does the same thing as the scheduled job. I'll look into the bugs with the schedule job itself.

That worked!!! The forms are now searchable!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! The client who is in the funeral business submitted an obit to be printed in the newspaper pointing to the site for tomorrow. Whew. Anyway, the indexing jobs for both the "Index Search Engine" and "Advanced Forms - Index Records" are still as they were. How do both of these effect the site? Should I be concerned in the short term? Is there a need and a way to manually force the "Index Search Engine"? Thanks.

I would like to set up a cron job to run the indexing. On the maint. page the jobs don't operate properly. Would you be able to advise me what line of code I would use to run the indexing from the individual pages? Or is that possible? Thanks.

This has been fixed. I posted a new version of Advanced Forms (1.3.2.1).
