Customising the single page template

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi, I've purchased this product however am struggling on editing the single page template view.php that drives the single page. It insists on putting a further header and nav bar from the yoghurt template when I already have one with my template.

Could you explain if there is a way of pasting in the relevant data that pulls in the single page data into my existing template?

Or where to I find how to adjust the $innercontent so that it doesn't include the duplicate header stuff. Basically I just need the testimonials listing pulled into the correct div on my template...

Hi Chassa,

Make sure that the view.php in your THEME FOLDER is setup correctly. A single page uses a theme's view.php as dictated by concrete5. Ensure that you have configured it correctly.

If you are seeing information from the yogurt template, it sounds like you had copied the yogurt files to style your theme and failed to adjust the view.php.

Thanks

Also...have you tried putting the single_page in edit mode and simply removing the header & nav bar blocks?

Yes - I tried this as a nice simple solution but it didn't give me the option to delete them. The blocks that I wanted to edit were not able to be selected...

Sorry I'm not sure what you mean by configured correctly. It doesn't have the areas I have in my main template but it insists on pulling in the $inner content which duplicates the header, nav etc which I dont' need. I just want to pull in some php into my content area really...

Then it sounds like it is not configured correctly. The view.php should have $innerContent variable in it, that is normal.

It should also have pretty much the same code as your default.php/full.php etc depending on how you want the page to look, except the $innerContent variable will be there.

Here is concrete5's explanation of it:http://www.concrete5.org/help/building_with_concrete5/developers/th...

Hi Defunct - I've sent you by pm the access details. Could I trouble you to have a quick look for me. I simply need the listing to go into my main content area. The $innerContent variable seems to be the thing that messes it up because it insists on duplicating the header and nav.
