stopping the folder from being accessible after redrect

The redirect works fine, but the same page is still accessible via the primary domain plus the folder name.
The incoming domain is mapped to to;-
domain-name/folder-name
it works fine.
But domain-name/folder-name is still directly accessible
is there anyway to stop this?
