DOWNLOADS FOLDER IS NOT WORKING

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I created a downloads folder in the root directory of the concrete5 installation here (which worked when I added it to the page):
http://impactpennjersey.net/downloads/mcd/BCPANJ-mcdpdf-Adams-PA-42...

However, after I published it and returned to the page, the link was looking for the file here:
http://impactpennjersey.net/index.php/resources/missional-county-di... (which means it returns an error)

How do I fix this?

Hi,
remember that download folder does not work with subfolders inside, but only files. With additional subfolders inside /downloads/ you need to add more than only one dl folder block.to your page for anyof these.

The first dl folder block should have some relative path (this is "path to download folder") like ../downloads/mcd/ , the second block would then use ../downloads/md/ , etc. (starting the path with ../ means relative path from root folder). If it lists your files, this one should be set up correct.

Now if you carefully watch the links for the files it creates on the list (hover mouse over a file and see status bar in browser), you might find something like you posted above that doesn't work. If that's the case you can change option "Subdomain URL", which overwrites the first part of the link. Add something like "http://impactpennjersey.net/downloads/mcd/" here, and check the link again, it should have changed. If it still doesn't work check the link carefully again if there is some wrong slash ('/') or /mcd/ is twice or similar. You should be able to adjust the pathso it finds all downloads then.

If you can't get it working please post what paths you added to the options, you can private message if you prefer (not sure they do have such option here?).

Add the url to the subdomain solved the problem. Thanks!
