Add an active state to Filter to allows CSS styling to show the acvtive filter

Hi Sorry, another request!
Another request but an understandable one from my client.
Could you add a state to a filter that is active or some change in the CSS / HTML so that we can style the filter buttons to have an active state when clicked?
Is there a fix I could do pre any update?

I had a look at it but as I don't know JS it made no sense. But it seems to be a fairly simple bind class event which is shown on :
