Is it possible to mix "types" between thumbnails that link out to pages/URLs and ones that open the gallery?

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Would love to be able to have some thumbnails in the gallery link to external pages and others open the lightbox. This is a global setting for the whole gallery, correct? And it overrides setting URLs on items in the gallery, yes?

Did you have tested to activate Lightbox and add url on certain images ?

Yes, I believe so. I currently have the gallery set to Simple Light Box. With this setting all images in that gallery open light boxes, even those with links set on them.

I have attached a few screen crops. Both images in the attached example open light boxes.

The hope is that only the first image in this example would open a light box. The second, when clicked, would instead go to the specified page.

I figured out a workaround that may do the trick temporarily, while we await the next update.

I put an link into the image title field. (Note: don't use quotation marks!) It's clunky, and it's not easy getting the links right, but it gets the basic job done.

For me this is "close enough" for the short-term. Hope it helps you out.

What is the status of this? I have exactly the same need/issue.

Is it the case that if you have a gallery in which ALL thumbs link to pages that links will work? Whereas currently you cannot mix links and no-links in a single gallery?

I would also like to be able to link from the overlay rather than from the thumbnail. In other words, all thumbnails open overlays. Some overlays contain, in their captions for example, links to pages.

Thanks!

Unfortunately always under the todo list.
I've planned a big release in three weeks with new powered gallery.
