display a specific number of news - in this case, the two latest news

I have a question, is it possible to display specific news (eg, only two recent news) on the website? I did't find any option to set it up.

Hi. Yes. When adding a news list block you can set a maximum number of news
to display.

And now how to display the news side by side in separate divs? one on one, the second in the other? I understand that in a file, you need to add the div, but where?
