Hello, thanks for your suggestion! Folders are stored in the database so adding a description field there is simple, but unfortunately files aren't, they are read directly from the file system, so that will be a bit more work.

A question I have is how these descriptions will be entered and displayed? There is not too much space in the block as it is now.

Here's what I'd do to the UI to implement this:
- Move the folder creation to a popup
- Move the folder creation trigger to an icon at the end of the folder list and next to each folder when selected
- Add an Edit folder mode (shares the create folder dialog) with a trigger icon next to selected folders
- Add an Edit file dialog and trigger

Great, nice suggestions, but quite a big one also so I cannot promise anything soon...! I will prioritize the features for the next release soon though, I'll keep you posted.
