error when logging out

The plug in is great just what I was looking for but I have had a couple of errors. Once I added the flash it worked when I was logged in but not when logged out.
error was
>Fatal error</b>: Call to a member function isLoggedIn() on a non-object in <b>/var/www/html/packages/flash_embed/blocks/flash_embed/view.php</b> on line <b>91</b>
I fixed it by changing
global $u;
to
$u = new User();
on line 42
