Can't edit Show Message after previously adding Show Message with PayPal code

I have a client who entered PayPal html code in the Show Message section of a Formidable form. Now the Show Message content cannot be edited. Clicking on the Add/Edit Message button brings up the Concrete5 spinner and nothing happens.

Looking in the bowser console here is the link that is erroring.
Must be a problem with something in there, right?

I think there are some weird chars in the element.. Some quotes or something like that.
You can change the message in the database.

I agree that there are some characters in there that something is choking on and breaking the experience. Can this can be addressed somehow by Formidable?

I definitely get that not every case can be covered, but copying form code from PayPal seems like a reasonable example to address.
