File upload max size?

Hi,
I need to build a form for users to upload pictures.
I'd like to know:
1) For file upload fields, I saw we can indicate file types, and the number of files, but can we limit the file size? Eg.: "Maximum file size is X MB"
2) Is there a way to resize uploaded images files automatically to a given preset size? Eg.: "Recommended size is 400x400 pixels. Pictures bigger than this size will be resized automatically".

1. The size depends on the max size of your server settings. So there is no "overwite"-rule or something like that. Good idea though.
2. No, also not possible. Not by a default setting anyway. You can change the controller to change the files that are being uploaded. Also a good idea though...
I'll pu thtis on the wishlist. It would be nice to have.
