Where are the user tools on the view block?

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi

I am trying to use the Formify view block to list all my form records. I would like the users to be able to sort/filter the list of records. The Block allows you to enable user sort but is don't show up after adding the block.

This is something i am in real need of.

Please help me.

Jack

Hi,
The developer has not enabled the user sorting feature as yet. The data sort feature for the view block is enabled but not user sort. The only work around at the moment is to sort multiple view blocks according to various criterion and display them in tabs.

Right okay thank you for getting back to me. would you know when this feature is going to be released?

I am really hoping in the next few months as i need this ASAP. It was the main reason why I brought this add-on.

Thanks

Hi Jack - Yeah, I'm trying to roll in as much features as I can as quickly as possible while also sorting out all of the bugs, but can be a tricky task.

That said - I've got the searchability and sortability rolled into the latest version (2.5.1). I'm hoping to date range added to the next version, but you may not be needing this.

Test it out and please let me know if you have any issues.

Thanks!

Are there any plans to have the search/view block have the ability to approve/reject submissions also? (as a feature to enable).

Fantastic Thank you.

The add-on is great and make life so easy. yes it is a shame its not 100% complete but im sure you have in in hand and will be complete soon.

When can i get my hands on 2.5.1?

I want to carry on using Formity but my site has to go live by May. Would you say by then more of it will be complete?

I do ideally need the date range as well but this can wait till later in the year.

Thanks

Jack

2.5.1.2 has been posted. I'm still working through some things with regard to user searching/sorting, but this at least has it functional. Do let me know if you come across any issues.

Note that you'll need to make certain fields searchable (by clicking the magnifying glass on the fields page), and then you'll need to re-index the data on the records page.

Could I convince you to post the change notes in the change history on here? I haven't seen notes since 2.3.1 ;)

I know you're busy, but those notes are very helpful for identifying what's changed and such and planning around that.

Thank you for the update just installing it now.

The only thing i ask is for some documentation on Magic mode. I want to use it but have no idea how to.

Look for to see some more exciting features coming soon!!

Thanks

Hi,
From an earlier support request.

1. Magic Mode
This isn't fully documented, but the Magic Mode feature of Formify allows you to allow any HTML form to be processed as a Formify Form (in terms of database storage and notifications).

Best
