Block breaks the layout

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi! I just bought the license and installed the addon through dashboard.

When I add the block it shows all the config and so ok. After confirmation it shows (now actually only one pic out of three selected) the block without styling. Just a thumb of one picture, and under it the metadata I selected to be shown.

When I publish the page, the first time it didn't show the block at all. Now it shows the thumb without styling. When I click the thumb it get stuck on loading, and cancels it when clicked on.

There must be problems with my custom themes styles. I have my page within #page and use (#page * { margin: 0; padding: 0; border: none; })

But the really weird problem here is that all the code after the block from the page is missing?

The first time I tried this block I selected an pic collection to be shown. When I do that the whole block dissappears, so I cannot modify it anymore, and the page breaks (no code after the content div)...

That's weird!

Can you give an url so I can see the source for myself?

I haven't published the page yet. Maybe the problem is with my theme. I will pack it and attach it here, so you can test if you can get the same problem... If not, I could send you the whole project dir. There is not much to see with just broken HTML source, except CSS...

I'll add the theme to my test version.
In the meantime you could try to set your installation of your C5 website back to the original theme. This should also solve the problem if the theme should be the source of the problem.

There are problems with my styles, but changing the theme to the original didn't make it to show the collection. And with separately selected pictures there were just one thumb...but weirdly at first time switching the theme it showed all three, but after swapping settings just one again. Tried to switch theme again and it didn't show three anymore.

There are three pictures in that collection, and the block doesn't show even thumbnails. With my theme there weren't those red dashed borders so I couldn't click the empty block.

I edited my main.css to have margin: 0; padding: 0; in all my divs, as opposed to done via #page * which altered your styles... I suppose I could have just edited your block's styles as well to achieve the same. But you should add more specific styles for your block, that it would not be affected by custom resets.

There is still a glitch when showing picture - I attached a screenshot of that here...

But that didn't fix the problems with collection and breaking HTML.

I see what I can do with the styles.
I thought they were not that common, but I suppose anyone can use the same classes.

The screenshot seems to show that there isn't enough room for the buttons. Could you change the size of the large image so that the width is 200px minimal?
The controls seems to be wider then the image you selected....

Let me know!

It's not that you have selected common classnames. But you haven't defined all the styles, so some are left to be inherited from browsers defaults. That why #page * reset (padding and margin) for my theme has affected your styles.

Oh yeah! I haven't yet looked into the pictures that I will publish, and they will be bigger...that must be it - good to know, thanks! :)

I found out why the layout went broken with my pictureset. I had some pictures in my set that were not uploaded right...the file manager showed a custom thumbnail for them so I didn't recognize them from real pictures!

corretje is also updating this addon's styles to be compatible with user style resets like #page * { margin: 0; padding: 0; }

So this problem is now solved. I thank the developer for good and fast support!! :) :)
