Appearance different when signed-out vs. signed-in using Simple Circle template

Permalink Browser Info Environment
When first installed, years ago, this worked as it should, displaying the white "Play" triangle on a circular black background. Then, the client brought to my attention the change in appearance to a white background with a small black "Play" triangle stacked on top of a small black "Stop" square and a black period below and to the right. (See attachments). The weird thing is that it displays correctly when signed in and changes when signed out. Is this because it is accessing different jquery libraries when signed in or out? If so, how do I correct that?
Can you help me identify the cause of this and correct it?
