URGENT HELP - Database Restore hasn't worked properly

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi all,

I am in rather desperate need of some help with a website I have built.

http://www.snozel.com

I had some small issues that came up so thought I would do a restore of a previous database. The problem being that the site was running the most recent version of c5 and the database was an older version. I did the restore, got some strange errors and removed these by taking the c5 version out of the site.php file - but now the site is really not showing how it used to. The dashboard is accessible - but certain functions with it are no longer usable such as the System and settings area - it gives a page not found error and some other areas just give a blank background within the dashboard. Also I have the core commerce addon which is no also no longer accessible via dashboard. The site should have a search option and also some other content in the top right of the header area which also does not display now.

IS this because the database is an older version than the version now installed? how can i get back to that version and fix this? any ideas??
