Mail Monkey won't upgrade on C5 5.5

After upgrading C5 to 5.5, the Mail Monkey module is completely dead.

It will no longer display any functionality in any dashboard area, will not update, and I can not even remove it to reinstall it.

How do I manually remove all of Mail Monkey from the C5 installation?
