Buttons not lining up?

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hey all, I have the Mega Menu block added to my site. I am having an issue with rollover and drop down menu. When I hover over the menu, the button changes, but it seems too small--maybe 5px short. Same with my drop down menus--the drop down starts about 5px into the menu bar. It just doesnt look right. Is there any way I can fix this?

Hi Lauren, I've just checked your example page and it's looking ok for me. Here's a short video grab:
http://screencast.com/t/HY1Q5nL4...

What web browser are you using?

It could also be your theme's CSS file. Try changing a page to the default Plain Yogurt theme and see if your issue persists. If it looks ok, then it must be a CSS formatting issue with the theme.

Hope this helps.

Well... the only problem is that I have created this template myself...not knowing much about css at all. I basically just built an html template and plugged in a few css codes to make it editable in c5. I did go into the 'skins' part of the megamenu and edited the font size because it was just bigger than I was looking for. I'm guessing this is what has made the buttons look smaller??? There must be something else I need to edit in the 'skin' file... not sure?

Ok, if you've changed the font size and want to manually control the height of the top level menu, just edit the white.css file (where "white" is the colour of the skin you've chosen. On line 17 you'll find:
.white ul.mega-menu{
...
height:40px;
...
}

Change 40 to 36 for a shorter menu.

I hope this helps. Let me know how you go.

Great to hear. If you're happy with the support provided I'd greatly appreciate a positive review in the c5 marketplace. Cheers, JB

Please open a new support request in this sort of situation. I've looked at your site and your theme is interfering with the Mega Menu. In your main.css file you need to change:

Line 88 (#header ul): remove the margin and padding.
Line 94 (#header li): remove the "display:inline".

Once those 2 things are done, your menu will look a lot better.

Hope this helps.
