I also noticed there is no tutorial on how to make that a custom template in the blocks folder - Can you just let us know how i would do this - i don't want to add it to my theme or modify the code that is in packages.

Hi Barolin,
Thanks for your questions.

You can see the generated code by simply viewing the source code of our demo site:
http://c5extras.com/add-ons/mega-menu/...
Depending on what browser you use, the process for viewing the page source is a bit different. I recommend using Google Chrome - in that case just right click on the page and choose "view source info".

On the above link, you can find one of the example menus on line 197. Since there are several examples, there's more code further down but they look very similar.

The process for creating custom blocks is intended for those who have a good knowledge of C5/PHP. Here's a guide on how custom block templates work:
http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/general-topics/custom-templa...
If you simply want to change the colours, I'd recommend copying the code out of the custom.css style sheet (clearing that file), and then placing that code in your site's theme CSS file. This way it won't be overwritten if you upgrade Mega Menu in the future.

If you want to add custom scrapbook items to the start and/or end of the Mega Menu, you can just edit the view.php file if you wish. But as always, make a backup of the view.php file just in case anything goes astray.

Hope this helps.
