How to disable original nav bar?

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I am using the Vertigo theme and am trying to implement Mega Menu vertical. How to I disable original nav bar that came with the theme. Tried excluding from nav in custom attributes for each page but when adding Mega Menu only half the links show up and doesn't look anything like my sitemap. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi

It looks like your navigation in that theme is hard coded. Also by excluding the pages in the navigation makes those pages undiscoverable so to speak that is why you're not seeing it in the Mega Menu as well. Have you contacted the original developer of that theme and asked how to disable the built in navigation.

Thanks for the input! Was thinking about just making Mega Menu hard coded in the template but then I don't think I would be able to use block edit on it to make modifications to it. Will contact them. Thanks again.

OK contacted the Vertigo theme people - looks like they are throwing the ball in your court(: here is their response...

Hi

Thanks for buying our theme. You are probably going to be best directing this question at the add-on author of mega Menu, we have no experience with this add-on and couldn't help diagnose any issues with it.

Thanks

Hmmmmmm....

Hi

The only possible way to disable the navigation bar that came along with the theme is via the theme's code. I'm not sure why they cannot do it on their end since the navigation is present by default based on your post. The Mega Menu Vertical is just an add-on where you can put anywhere inside the theme. This block doesn't automatically override the existing navigations inside the theme. Have you ever tried the Greek Yogurt theme? Did you notice that you can remove the navigation? It should be like that on Vertigo theme.

Hope that helps.
