How to highlight active links in the 1 Level
Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi
I've purchased mega menu yesterday and I think it's a great add-on.
The only think I miss (at the moment) is to highlight active links in the 1 Level. I have tried to change the css file,
unfortunately I'm not a professional developer.
Any ideas to solve this problem?
Many thanks

Hi
thanks for your answer.
I watched the videos but I couldn't find a solution for my problem.
Maybe a haven't described my problem as good as possible. I've attached a picture to show you what I mean
1.The First Level (Quality Basics) is highlighted in grey when I'm going though my mouse. That's OK.
2. Internal Audit was selected from the Menu. As you can see "Quality Basics" are not highlighted anymore.
3. I want to have it similar like no. 3. Here in this case "Quality Basics" (1 Level) is highlighted and users can see where they are.
tank you

Yes, I think I understand what you mean. I need to look through the source code to give you more specific instructions, and will be back in the office tomorrow morning.
sounds good. Thanks for your support.
The CSS class you want to use is: nav-path-selected, for example
This needs to be added to your site's theme CSS file.
Let me know how you go.

.menu a.top-level-nav a.nav-path-selected{ background-color:#FFF; }

Hi
I've tried to add
in black.css and in dcmegamenu.css. But it doesn't work?
Which is the correct css file?
Many thanks

The site's theme CSS file is usually located in the "/themes" folder in your site.
You can tell what your active theme is by looking in your Dashboard > Pages and Themes. The name of the theme's CSS file may change on a theme-by-theme basis, but typical names would be style.css, stylesheet.css, etc. There should only be 1 or 2 CSS files in your theme, so tracking it down shouldn't be too hard.
Just add that code to your site's CSS file and upload it via FTP.
The free support included is limited to the functionality of this specific add-on, so I'm unable to provide general C5 & CSS support. But here's a few resources that will help get you more familiar with CSS:

http://www.w3schools.com/css/
and C5 theme basics:

I hope this helps.

Thanks a lot jb1, it's exactly what I was looking for today.
PS: that's what I meant in my review by "commenting the css". If there was a comment in the css file itself saying what selector does what, it would be awesomely easy to customize it.

Thanks for your feedback, I'll look at adding that in the next version.
Many thanks for this support... I tried to fix the CSS without any luck but after finding this class I could change everything they way I liked. Great ad-on in all other aspect.
Great, glad to hear you're happy with the add-on. :-)
By "active" I'm assuming you mean the current page being viewed.
In this case there is the CSS styling automatically generated to make customizing this in your site's CSS file fairly easy. Please watch the additional videos found in the mega menu marketplace listing.
Once you've watchednthose, if you have any questions just let me know.
