Mega Menu dropdown not working
Permalink Browser Info Environment
The menu shows up correctly in the scrapbook, global section.
When you see it in the edit mode it's all there when you go to view it stops at the first one with a dropdown and that link has all the rest of the links as well as the dropdown.
See attached
Thanks
Maggie

Okay, it worked on the plain yogurt, i went into the style.css and tried to find where the trouble could be.
It's the cordobo_green_park_2 template.
here is the link:http://173.254.34.128
Any idea where i can start to look?
Appreciate any help i can get.

I checked that example URL and there's only 3 top level pages, so it may be a permissions related issue for those additional pages. Maybe you only see them when logged in as an admin (or in edit mode for some reason). But the structure of the current Mega Menu code on that page is correct. So that's the only other option. It's not a CSS formatting issue at this point.
Hope this helps.

Okay, I'm confused.
I checked every page and the permissions are set so ALL can view.
It seems when a main (page) link has dropdowns it makes the balance of the links into the last dropdown?
Example: I just moved 2 of the links up on the sitemap (neither has dropdowns) and you can see they do appear in the navigation and again when i get to the one where i added the dropdowns it stops and the last couple pages including the search end up as a dropdown and not a main link?
Very fustrating, that I can't use the template that has just about everything I need. I hate to start with the vanilla yogurt and customized that one.
Any other suggestions?

You don't have to start again, I'm not suggesting that.
Use the custom page attribute to "hide children from mega menu" to resolve the issue of incorrect menu items. If you use the normal "exclude from nav" custom page attribute, it won't automatically hide the children pages. If you don't know how to access custom page attributes please refer to this page:

Okay I did the "hide children from mega menu" and it all up there correctly as the main navigation.
Problem is now i don't have any drop downs where i need them?
How can i add them without creating the first problem.
Do the setting for the 2nd level (drop down) page have to be something specific?
Thanks

Hi Maggie, the only 2 custom page attributes you need to use are those mentioned previously. You don't need to do anything else for the sub pages to be displayed. But if you use the "exclude from nav" attribute on some of the sub pages it will explain why some are missing. Alternatively you need to make sure the option for the mega menu is set to show all pages at all levels.
Hope this helps.

This is my last shot with this add-on. I've totally blew my budget on this and haven't gotten past the navigation.
Here is a pdf of all the setting, etc. if there is no solution can you recommend another navigation tool that has the same display as this one, with the option of additional columns on the 2nd tier.
The PDF contains the following screen caps.
Sitemap: looks obvious but you never know. Right now I only have one main link with dropdowns. "WHO WE ARE" if this works I'll have more but one this one to work first.
Attributes: list of attributes available. Right i only have the "WHO WE ARE" and "CONTACT US" with the "Hide Children from Mega Menu" in order for the full navigation to show up. Permissions are all set the same (all checked off to view).
Web site: as you can see on page 3 the navigation is correct all the way across with the exception of no dropdowns available.
Scrapbook: here is how it looks in the scrapbook area.
Mega Menu Settings: As you can see they are all set to display all for sub pages.
Where am I off? If I change the setting and remove the "Hide Children from Mega Menu then the navigation stops at the first link with dropdowns but I can then see the dropdown.
It seems like the next main link after the dropdown needs some setting in order for it to not say in the dropdown but move back up to the main nav. I thought that's what the site map did.
I want to thank you for all your help with this but I'm not getting anywhere. It's odd that it works in the plain yogurt but nothing else. Is there some build in navigation code that is conflicting with it?
Appreciate your help and Happy New Year
Maggie

Hi Maggie, I want to help you get tithe bottom of this.
Can you please send me a private message with the dashboard login details so I can sort it out for you. If you can include your FTP details that would help as well.

I'm glad to have another satisfied customer. If you're able to leave a positive review in the marketplace, that would be hugely appreciated:

Probably the menu area has a width to short and overflow:hidden.
Just adjust the width or remove the overflow from your theme template.
To confirm this issue try switching your page theme to plain yogurt.
Hope this helps.
