Page Defaults Query
Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi,
I can't tell you how much I love your addon! It makes life so much easier!!!
I have a query about Page Defaults. I have several themes on my site that use (for example) the Left Sidebar page type. Let's use Theme A and B as an example.
I have a page type of Left Sidebar which is not associated with any particular theme. It says 'None' in the Package column of Page Types.
If I have my main site using Theme A, I can't edit the page type defaults for Theme B.
In order to edit the defaults for Theme B I have to apply Theme B to my main domain, edit the defaults and then change the theme back to Theme A.
Is there a way around this?
Maybe I will have to move my top level site to a sub-level and keep the top level as a place for swapping themes when I need to alter the Page Types defaults?
Many thanks,
Mike

That's a very good question, it's never crossed our path.
The method you suggest yourself might work OK for you although I can understand the pain if your main site is using the templates.
The "page type defaults" are actually individual pages in concrete5 that just do not show up anywhere in the system. They are called "template pages" or at some point I think they were "master pages".
When you enter these pages through the Page Types page, you'll see all the normal page controls on the editing toolbar. You'll also notice the "Design" menu appearing under the "Edit" button. There you can change template specifically to that page.
I think this setting also affects any new pages that are added of that type, so remember to revert it back to the original theme once you're done with your edits to the specific theme.
