PHP7 compatibility?

Permalink Browser Info Environment
We're due a major site relaunch. I'm unhappy with many of the UI paradigms 5.7 and 5.8 introduce and am considering doing the relaunch with 5.6. One prerequisite for that is that things can run on PHP 7. There's some work to do to get that done with C5's core, but it seems manageable. Does Multiple Domains run on PHP7? Would you be willing to promise a refund in case it doesn't? (In that case we would probably go and use 5.8, and purchase the add-on there.)

Hi Pekka,

With modified core we are unfortunately unable to support the product or provide refunds.

If 5.6 becomes PHP 7 compatible at some point, we are interested ensuring that there wouldn't be any problems running this add-on with it either.

That's fair enough. I've been talking to Remo about eventually chipping in for a bounty to get PHP7 compatibility for 5.6 in a real rather than a hacky way, but right now there is far from enough money in the pot. If that happens, it will be only when PHP 5.6's end of life comes about, at which point more people will panic and be ready to chip in. :) If that's something Mainio is likely to support when and if it happens, that's good enough for me. Thanks!
