Slider transition glitch
Permalink Browser Info Environment
I've had a small glitch with my slider in IE(8),
right now I've got the transition set to fade, sometimes when the images are transition instead of a fade, the images bunch up to the left side of the slider about 15px wide then carry on as normal
anyone else experiencing this?

This turns out to be a jQuery / IE bug specific to the Fade transition. There are various workarounds (can't list them all here I'm afraid).
Depending on your situation, you'll have to choose the best for you.

Can you give me some advice on what workarounds you've found?
Hi. Try adding 'filter:inherit;' to the affected item(s). I added it to line 8 of packages/michaelg_power_slider_lite/blocks/power_slider_lite/css/style.css, so it looks like this:
Worked for me this time, but not tested in other situations.
NB: If it works, you'll have to add it to your own css so it's not overwritten if you update power_slider_lite.
.powerSlide .largeText, .powerSlide .smallText { color: #fff; display: block; position: absolute; filter:inherit; }

Otherwise google 'jquery ie fade absolute' - from what I can see it only happens with absolutely positioned elements...

It'd be a shame to have to ditch this add-on because of this one glitch, because otherwise it's excellent.
Thanks, Simon.
