Adding author image attribute and linking it to a page

Hi There,
I 'm trying to work out a way to add an author image to the page that isn't the user avatar and also add a link to a page about them.
So far I've added a custom author image attribute but don't know how to call it into the problog or how to link it to another page.
Any guidance is appreciated.
