Solved problem of uninstalling proEvents - possibly of use to others

Proevents was causing my wider system issues after an upgrade to version 8. I couldn't uninstall it but managed to manually uninstall it. What I did is detailed here.

This may or may not work for you. It could break things on other systems but hopefully it might help someone else. Goodness knows it took me long enough to work out.
