I think I purchased the wrong version of QuizMaker Pro. Is there a way transfer my purchase to the version for 5.7 and above?

Hello,

I have granted you the 5.7. license.

Hi Dmitry,

Thanks for that. I’ve got it installed and have a question about making questions in the quiz. I am trying to make questions that have a single answer but want the user to type in what they think it is and have that answer checked against the correct one, so that they have a lot of chances to figure it out. I am making security+ and ethical hacking related challenges that don’t give a whole lot of information so they need the ability to try a lot of answers. I want to avoid giving them a selection to choose from because that gives them too much of a hint beforehand.

I’ve been trying to set this up but can’t seem to find a way to do it.

Can you tell me if this is possible?

Thanks again,
Paula Kawal

Hello Paula,

I barely understand the exact case. Can you provide any example in web of similar quiz system behavior or describe the algorithm?

As far as I understand so far you want learners to write their own choice and system need to analyze the answers somehow. If this is the way how system should analyze it? Shall it be the strict matching check or some words overlapping only?

Dmitry.

Hi Dmitry,

Yes you understand. I want strict matching. The challenge answers are usually a line of characters hidden in a file or a hash or something similar that they need to submit so the answer is straight forward text string matching. I want them to have unlimited attempts to enter the correct answer.

Here is a link to a place that is making the kind of question I am looking for. Enter the demo and look at the way the fourth question works…this is what I am trying to do. They are calling it a fill in the blank question option.

Thanks,

Hello Paula,

We have just noticed the payment for the license have been refunded. Was it accidentally? Are you still interested to use the solution?

They were refunding another purchase and refunded both. If there is a solution, I’m definitely interested in it.

Hello Paula,

OK. I have talked to developer and we can offer you product improvement. We can add the required question type to our QuizMaker public version for 210 USD. I'll have some more question about the request but let me know if you okay with the offer first.

I would appreciate your quick answer, as our developer going for a week holiday and there is a chance to complete this before the end of the week.

Dmitry.

Hi Dmitry,

That is out of my price range. I run this student organization and I’m a student myself so I sometimes by stuff out of my own pocket to make resources for our group but that is too much for me to absorb.

I wish I could afford the changes.

Thanks,
Paula Kawal

Hi Paula,

ok, no problem. I wouldn't be able to offer you anything except to use the free text answer question.

Please process the license payment at least if you like to keep the product.
Thank you!

I don’t think I will be able to use it. I’m encountering errors when I try to delete questions and I need whatever I use up and running very quickly. School starts next week.

Well... are ready to fix bugs if there are any. We never had an issues deleting questions.
If you provide the access and FTP, we will try to have a look.

I had to uninstall it to fix the errors. I found that another add-on called formidable does what I want it do through rules that you can apply to the text fields for only 20.00. So I guess I’m going to go that route. I prefer some of the features of QuizPro but can not afford to pay for it to be changed. QuizPro would do what I want if I could add rules to the text fields, which is an improvement I would definitely suggest for the future.
