I have a news section where I'm hiding the content pages. Since news items are short, they're all being displayed as part of the page list on the top-level news page. The site structure looks like this:

NEWS
- News Item 1
- News Item 2
- News Item 3

The sub-pages are never visited. All the content appears on NEWS as part of the page list block

Is there a way to set the redirect add-on so that it only works on published pages? Or so it only works when one is not logged in as an admin?

If I add it to a page type, it redirects me away from that page before I can add content. Ideally,
I'd like to add the redirect add-on to the news page type's defaults. Then I'd add a news subpage, edit it and publish, at which time the page redirect prevents visitors from navigating to the subpages.

Thanks.

I agree, it could be easier to use. Try the attached (updated). Thanks!

That's a terrific enhancement! Thanks for whipping it up so quickly, too.

I'm still testing it, but there may be a minor bug. If I select a redirect page from the "Site Page" dropdown or selector, the block doesn't work. But if I add it manually to the "Specific URL" field, it works perfectly.

I was not able to recreate this scenario in a new c5 install. Possibly the updated attachment above might change something, likely not though, worth a try.
