Border-image doesn't show up in Edit mode

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Thank you for this awesome add-on!

I have one little problem - I use border-images in my css for the thumbnails, and somehow they don't show up in edit mode. (See the attachments.)

The black double border was one time the fallback for IE (but I changed it yesterday). I deleted the cache, so I have no idea where it comes from. I attached a screenshot of chrome's inspector, and you can see that it comes from some inline style in index.php (but seeing the source, the file doesn't even have 345 lines...)

It is not game-changing, but a little annoying.

Do you have any idea what would be the cause of this strange behavior?

Thanks again for the plugin!

When you say "deleted the cache", do you mean your browser cache or C5's cache? Make sure you've cleared both of those and try again.

If the problem still persists, maybe try removing that block from the page saving the page, then re-editing the page and adding it back.

If none of that works, let me know and I can take a closer look.

Thanks. I deleted both cache (also deleted every file from the cache folder), deleted and re-added the block.

Upon further investigation, the invisible css in index.php tries to find border.png in the root. Since I have no idea where these styles come from, I may just copy the file into the root (but it isn't the most elegant solution).

Could it be because I moved the styles to my main stylesheet?

It must be related to caching, since the style shown in edit mode doesn't exist in any of the stylesheets. So maybe I'll just wait for a day or two, hoping it will sort itself out.

border.png is not something the addon utilizes, so I'm guessing this is coming from your theme's stylesheet. If this is the case, then it's possible the theme css wasn't coded in a very robust way, and hence moving it could have caused the issue.
What theme are you using? If it is a paid theme from the marketplace, you might want to submit a support request over there and ask them what the "border.png" is all about and how to make it work properly with the gallery addon.

Thanks for your reply.

It is a custom theme that I'm currently working on.

You can see an earlier version (that shows the same symptoms) here:

I am sorry but I unfortunately don't have the time to continue investigating this -- your best bet is to post this question to the main forums and see if anyone there can help you with it (mention that you asked me here in the addon support forum but that I was unable to help -- otherwise people will just tell you to come back here).

Sorry, wish I could be of more help.
