Lightbox effect is not working

I installed the fancybox yesterday and integrated it here:

Somehow the lightbox-effect doesn't sho on the live page. Am I making a mistake somewhere?

It appears that the jquery library is not being loaded on your page. Is this a theme you made or customized yourself, or did you get it from the marketplace?
Also, might want to upgrade your system from 5.5.2 to 5.5.2.1 -- it fixes some bugs that might also be problematic.

Dear Jordanlev,
thank you for your feedback. By reading your answer I realized that I deactivated JQuery to improve the performance. After reactivating it, everything works fine. Thank you! I updated my system anyway, that is always important.
