Sortable Fancybox Gallery Problem
Permalink Browser Info Environment
I downloaded the add-on (love the sortable feature!) expecting it to look like the demo, i.e. equally sized boxes with perfectly squared images inside. Instead it worked like other gallery add-on which keeps the proportion of the images so it has a free-form look. Are the boxes only possible by altering the code? Also, does the same apply to the text that is visible for each image? Right now it just uses the file name - no place to input additional text.
Thanks!
Thanks!

My bad. I checked several different add-ons and I thought Fancybox was the one that did that (maybe the name threw me). I went back and found it was another one. You can see what I had seen here: http://www.concrete5-addons.nl/highslide-webalbum/highslide-webalbu... Hope you'll implement that cropping feature soon :-).
As for the text, I forgot about that! I also had to redo adding the images to the "set" for the description to finally show up.
Thanks!

Wanted to let you know that there is a new, more advanced (but not free) version of this gallery that includes image cropping. May be worth it depending on your budget:

Unfortunately if the images aren't all the same dimensions to begin with (that is, some are "portrait" and some are "landscape"), then there is no way to line them up.
Hopefully some day I'll be able to implement cropping functionality which would take care of this problem, but in the meantime you're going to have to crop them all yourself before you upload them to your site.
As for the image text, that is taken from each image's "description" property, which you can set from the file manager by clicking on an image, choosing "properties" from the popup menu, and entering whatever caption you want in the "Description" field.
Hope that helps!
