Bug - Department/Type Attribute list does not support "&"

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi There,
I noticed that if you put the "&" symbol as part of the name of the Department/Type attribute then the filtering does not work. Renaming the field does not solve the problem. I had to delete it and recreate without this character.

1) Go to Staff Directory tab from the Dashboard
2) Click on "Add new department/type"
3) The edit attribute page is displayed under Dashboard, Pages & Themes, Attributes
4) Scroll down to the bottom of the page
5) add a new Attribute that includes & within the name
6) Press the save button
7) Go back to Staff Directory tab from the Dashboard
8) Create a new item in the staff directory and associate it with the new Department/type that you just created which has the & in the name.
9) Navigate to the public view of the staff directory
10) Edit the block and tick the box that says: Include Filter For Department/type: Yes
11) Save the page and refresh the browser window for site directory.
12) Use the dropdown filter to select the department/type that has the & in the name.
13) Nothing will be displayed, yet you can see the listing when you clear the filter and it's associated with that department/type.

Looks like it's related to the filtering function on the block.

Thanks
