Thanks for the quick response. That's good to know. One other quick question. With this add-on, would the concrete5 web site need to be PCI-compliant?
(I have a recognized 3rd party SSL Certificate, but obviously, that's not the only requirement.)

No. It uses stripe so no card info will be stored on you site or server. So no need for pci compliance.
You will need an ssl certificate. Stripe requires it once you go live with your keys.
