For superfish how important are the #page #header #headerNav div tags?

I'm not using the #page #header #headerNav div tags in my template, but I noticed that the view.php has rules for them in the style area.

Should I expect any quirky behavior from the superfish add-on if my templates use my own div tag scheme?

They're not really that important. Just code it to look the way you want it to look and I wouldn't worry about all those DIVs.
